More Friends

These are two of our best friends, both of whom are Americans, but live in the Dominican Republic. We got to see each other in Portland this year for the TEARS board meeting. Rod started TEARS, which stands for True Evangelism Always Requires Sacrifice. Jennifer also works with TEARS, and was a great friend to us when we lived in the DR. She comes home to SC, so I get to see her here as well. I've convinced her - after much kicking and screaming - that film work fits her skills, so she will be helping to produce another commercial spot this January while she is home on break.

Friends

Yep, though you may not believe it, we actually do have a few friends. This is a photo I took of Louis, Maddie and Sara. When Louis and Sara brought Maddie home, our Sarah wanted to know if she could trade Zion in for Maddie, so she could have a Chinese sister. But, now she really loves Zion and is ready instead for a Chinese brother. Louis is a Lutheran minister. Unlike the Southern Baptists and AOG pastors, Lutherans are allowed to drink wine (yea!). He also works for the adoption agency that helped us find Sarah and Zion. And, he and Maddie starred in a recent commercial we did about flu prevention.
